Before you start
Have approved business contact details, your service areas, business hours and access to the account your organisation intends to use.
Verification scope: Text-first preparation guide. Company-profile creation, workspace switching and team invitations have not been verified. Exact screen names and screenshots will be added after review; the steps below do not assert those controls exist.
Step 1
Confirm the account and setup owner
Use the work account associated with your intended subscription. Identify who is responsible for the catalogue, agent knowledge, customer enquiries and billing. One person can hold more than one responsibility, but each task needs a clear owner.
Expected result: you know which account to configure and who approves changes. If the account or company identity is unclear, resolve that before uploading company material or entering payment details. Do not create duplicate accounts simply to work around an access problem.
Step 2
Prepare a customer-facing company profile
Write the approved business name, a short description of what you supply, the customers you serve and your service locations. Prepare your logo and the public email address or telephone number customers should use. Keep billing-only and private staff information separate.
State sales and rental scope explicitly. For example, explain which product families you supply and which locations require confirmation. Avoid unsupported promises such as nationwide same-day delivery. Expected result: one approved company profile that can be reused consistently.
Example — adapt and approve before use
Business name: [approved name] What we supply: [product families] Sales / rental scope: [approved services] Service area: [locations and conditions] Customer contact: [public channel] Business hours and timezone: [approved hours] Profile owner and review date: [name / date]
Step 3
Prepare policies and enquiry routing
Gather your quotation requirements, delivery conditions, rental requirements where relevant and after-sales contact process. Identify questions needing a person, such as a special price, an exception to a policy or a technical suitability decision.
Write down what information that person needs to act: product or model, intended use, dates where relevant, location and a suitable reply channel. Collect only what is necessary. Expected result: the agent can explain the next step without suggesting a submitted enquiry is an approved order.
Step 4
Apply the information only in verified controls
The inspected Console provides customer-facing Contact information and Working Hours under Agent Setup → Essentials. Use that guide for those fields. If your separate administration interface provides a company profile, use its actual labels rather than assuming they match the Console.
Expected result: saved customer-facing details agree with the approved profile. If a company or team-management control is absent, leave that part pending; do not enter company information into an unrelated field just to complete a checklist.
Step 5
Check what customers will hear
Ask in Playground what the company supplies, where it operates, how to request a quotation and how to contact a person. Compare each answer with the approved profile.
Fix missing or contradictory source text and re-test. Completion means the contact route and business scope are correct—not merely that a document was uploaded. Keep the profile owner responsible for future changes.
Completion checklist
- One approved profile covers public company details, scope, hours and contacts.
- Owners are assigned for data, enquiries and billing.
- Agent answers match the approved profile; unverified workspace controls remain pending.
Common questions
Does uploading company information create a company workspace?
No. A knowledge source supplies information to the agent; it does not prove that an account, company profile or workspace has been created. The workspace creation flow still needs verification.
