Set up your agent · Step-by-step guide

Quick start: your first AI Agent

Follow the setup order from account preparation to a tested customer entry point. Skip optional webstore and inventory work when it does not apply to your setup.

Before you start

Use an authorised account, approved company information and a small set of current product sources. Assign someone to receive enquiries.

Verification scope: This overview links verified interface guides and clearly marked preparation guides. Live subscription activation, product import, company workspace setup and webstore publishing remain unverified.

Step 1

Choose your package and access your account

Compare Agent, Sales and Rental+ against your customer journey, then review the current billing period and trial terms. Use your existing sign-in if you already have an account. Do not enter real payment details into the public subscription preview.

Choose your package and create an account

Step 2

Prepare your company and product information

Gather approved contact details, service areas and business hours. For each starting product, prepare its model, specifications with units, image and enquiry conditions. Product data describes individual items; company knowledge explains your business rules, policies and procedures.

Importing products into a catalogue is different from uploading knowledge. The current guide does not verify a CSV, Excel, website or PDF product-import tool. Prepare the source data now and use only the import method actually provided by your authorised administration interface.

Prepare your webstore for customer enquiries

Step 3

Add knowledge, then configure the agent

Select the intended agent. Add current FAQs, policies and product documents through Knowledge Base, check the extracted text, then configure Agent Setup → Essentials and AI Rules. Confirm customer-facing contacts, answer boundaries and handover wording.

Add and check your agent’s business knowledge

Step 4

Check optional inventory and webstore connections

Only include inventory or a webstore if your account has the relevant configured capability. A static uploaded document does not establish live stock, pricing or availability. Confirm the data owner, update method and freshness before enabling answers that depend on changing information. API integration is not a prerequisite for preparing an agent’s knowledge.

Prepare your webstore for customer enquiries

Step 5

Run four launch tests

Product test: ask about a known model and compare the answer with the source. Recommendation test: give requirements, check the specifications of the proposed options, then try requirements no listed product meets. Unknown-information test: ask for an unrecorded fact and check that it is not invented. Escalation test: ask for a person and confirm the receiving team can handle the enquiry.

Record the question, expected result, actual result and pass/fail. Fix failures and repeat them before launch. Where applicable, also verify lead capture and current inventory; a convincing chat reply is not evidence that a lead or handover was recorded.

Test your agent and publish its chat entry point

Step 6

Publish the entry point and check what happens next

After the tests pass, use the full Customer chat link or the supplied embed snippet in Playground. Only an authorised website owner should publish it. Test the actual customer page on desktop and mobile, then review early enquiries and usage regularly.

You are ready when answers are grounded, unsupported requests have a safe next step, the intended agent opens from the live page and the team can receive enquiries. If any check fails, use the troubleshooting guide rather than treating the setup as complete.

Troubleshoot common onboarding problems

Completion checklist

  • The four launch tests have recorded results.
  • Optional inventory and webstore functions are verified or excluded from the launch scope.
  • Customer entry point and enquiry handover work after an authorised publish.

Common questions

Do I need a webstore or an API to start?

Not for preparing and testing the agent’s approved knowledge. Webstore and connected inventory are additional capabilities to verify where relevant to your account and use case.
